Ayan. After 70 Jurassic years, at after mag monthsarry ng 30th birthday ko, I can finally tell you about our PDL trip! Hahaha. Read first here.
We had our lunch in Shell SLEX first. My daughter was so giddy, kasi akala nya, yun na pupuntahan naming! Nainip agad, anak?
Call us losers, but it took us almost 4 hours going to Nasugbu! Why? We got lost! Hahaha. May Waze and google map pa kami, ha! Hahaha! We weren’t in a hurry, just excited, kaya carry lang. Nagkagulatan kami nu’ng bigla namin nakita yung Aguinaldo Shrine! Parang, what the heck are we doing in Kawit, Cavite?! Hahaha!
We decided to open the car windows to enjoy the fresh air. Ang sarap, promise! nagkanda-lagkit-lagkit ang buhok ko, eh! Haha! The first sight of water was heaven! Ansaya!
Pagpasok namin ng compound ng Hamilo, naiiyak ako sa tuwa! Promise! Enzo was holding on my arms tight, SHE WANTED TO SEE THE BEACH AND THE WATER AND THE POOL AND THE PLAY AREA AND THE HOTEL! Agad-agad!
Husband dropped us off while he parked. The ‘bellboys’ immediately helped us with our bags and ushered us inside. We were bookedin Pico Sands Hotel. Checking was so easy! It took us less than 5 minutes, I tell you!
Our room was at the second floor, facing the lagoon! The view was super nice! Feelingerang haciendera ang anak ko, eh! Our room was above the hotel restaurant, pero you won’t hear any noise, people were so disciplined! You’ll know they also want some serenity! 😀
The hotel room details:
You may hover over the images for the description. After settling in, husband and I had coffee on the sosyal veranda while Enzo, kid as she is, surfed through the cable channels! Olats sa kanya yung tv kasi mas malaki pa daw yung nasa house! Anak, ours is a 55″. 😛
It was almost 5PM when we prepped ourselves to go to the beach. Agreement was beach in the afternoon, pool the next day. Agreed. Bihis, tapos halos lumukso slash lumipad slash mag magic kami papuntang beach! A coaster brought us there, na kulang na lang agawin ni mister ang manibela para mapabilis. Haha.
After exhausting ourselves at the beach, we had dinner naman sa country club. We opted to enjoy buffet. Haha. Ang sarap ng mga fish dishes! The pancit canton was a failure for baby and I (goodness, pancit canton kaming mag-ina sa past life namin!). Super lamig na din sa place! We enjoyed walking around the country club kahit nanginginig kami sa lamig. Ligayang-ligaya si bagets!
Pagbalik namin ng room, we started calling mama, my SIL, and everyone else to make them inggit. Hahaha. Enzo occupied the other bed, while husband and I shared. Sarap matulog!
Enzo and I woke up at around 5AM! Hahaha. Earlier than the usual! When she saw the sunlight peeping in the window glass of the veranda, na-excite sya! Parang movie daw! I told her to keep quiet, kasi we’ll be sneaking out of the room so we can go to the beach! Nakisama naman. We changed into our swimwear, don on sunscreen and waited a little for sunlight to go full blast.
It was around 6 when we tried to wake my husband and asked for permission. Fine. To inform him that we’re going out, baka kasi mag freak out kapag wala kami sa room pag-gising nya. Natawa lang. Ang gulang ko daw talaga. 😀
Thanks to Pico’s shuttle service who brought us to the beach. Grabe! Ang serene! Ang tahimik! Ang payapa ng tubig! Enzo ran immediately to the waters and started laughing her heart out! We took endless selfies! Endless, shameless selfies! Enzo made a friend, too! I am so proud of my daughter! We both laughed when her new friend said that they live in Pasig! Napa “Owmaygahd, we’re almost neighbors!” talaga ako! hahaha.
The little girl nga lang was a little sad, kasi she was with her dad’s new family, her mom daw is in Manila, with her new daddy naman. She was there for a vacation only. Chismosang bata. 😐
We went back to tour room at past 8AM, husband already took a bath, and having his own me moment at the veranda. We all went down for breakfast (after taking a bath, ofcourse). Ang sarap! Enzo enjoyed the crispy tawilis and danggit! yes, my little kid loves dried fish! I loooooooved everything! Hahaha.
We spent the remaining time roaming around. Enzo stayed at the playroom (Kidzoona in batangas daw) while husband went back to his being a binata – sa billiards hall! I waited for them on the lobby, because I just turned 30, and I am already old. hahaha.
It was almost noon when we went back to our room. Our check out time is 2PM, but we decided to leave early to avoid the queue of guests. As usual, checking out was easy and fast!
Since we weren’t quite in a hurry, husband took aaaaaaaaaaaaaallllll his time on our way back to Manila. We were on the road for 4 hours! Grabehan! Hahaha!
Enzo didn’t know where to start her kwento when we arrived home. She’ll jump from one kwento to another. Aliw na aliw ang lolo and lola, eh!
Our overall experience is a 5/5! Thank you, PICO DE LORO for a wonderful service and experience!
So pa’no? We’re planning to go back on summer. I already secured a yes from the husband! Yihee!
