Gising-Gising Ala Moi


Gising-Gising is one of my ‘most ordered’ pulutan. Hehe. I always wanted to cook it at home but our Tita Eva doesn’t have a heart for anything spicy. Hehe. 
For tonight, boredom strike me hard urging me to cook this dish. Hehe. 
It is called Gising-Gising because it’ll wake up your senses from the hot and spicy and tasty and creamy taste of the dish. This also goes well with steamed rice. Be ready to forget your diet for a while when you serve this. 
For the ingredients

  
1/2 kg ground pork

15-20 pcs Baguio / stringbeans, chopped 1/4 in

5 pcs green sili (red if you want it more spicy), chopped 1/4 in 

15 cloves native garlic, finely minced

1 medium red onion, finely minced

1/4 cup coconut cream

1/4 cup coconut milk

3 tbsps spicy shrimp paste

Salt

Pepper

Cooking oil

1/2 cup spicy vinegar
The procedure

Saute onion, garlic and half of green sili

Season with salt and pepper

  

Add ground pork

Once ground pork change its color, add shrimp paste. 
  
Mix well, simmer for 5 minutes.

Add 1/2 of coconut cream, simmer for another 3 minutes. 

  
Add coconut milk and the remaining green sili.

Season according to taste.

Simmer for 3 minutes.

Add Baguio beans and the remaining coconut cream. 

  

Simmer for 5 minutes. 

Add the spicy vinegar. 

Simmer until the coconut milk’s natural oil comes out. 

Serve hot. Enjoy!
